Ok so I know it's been a while since I've been on here but I have a great explanation! A lot has been going on!! For real though, believe me!
Ok well where did I last leave off? May 24th I think?
Insanity day 5- pure cardio. Pretty sure it was so intense I thought I was going to die. I was sweating a lot too because I had to keep my shirt on since I was at David's house in case anyone walked in the room, haha.
Insanity day 6- plyo cardio circuit.
Insanity day 7- day off. Man did it feel great to rest! And I got to relax and spend time with my boy before I had to head back to Searcy to get ready for work the next day.
Insanity day 8- (Monday) after work I did my workout. Showered, ate, went to bed to do it all again!
Insanity day 9- after workout for the day, did the same as the day previous and got ready for work again.
insanity day 10- skipped it.. Whoops. I was just tired after working all day, and I drive to David's straight after work. I had been working twelve hour shifts for three days straight, I was exhausted and my feet killed, I figured I would just pick it back up the next day.
Insanity day 11- cardio recovery. skipped again because I was traveling all day long, and didn't get home in California until after 1am.
Insanity day 12- completed day ten! Which was cardio circuit.
Insanity day 13- decided to skip cardio recovery all together.. I know I need a day of rest but I took two days of rest and I needed to get back to work! So I did day 12 which was cardio power and resistance.
Insanity day 14- supposed to be a day of rest but I did day 13: pure cardio & cardio abs. I ended up only doing pure cardio because I didn't realize until later that they were two separate videos.
Insanity day 15- fit test!! Look at my most recent results compared to day one:
Switch kicks- 63 (vs 59)
Power Jacks- 52 (vs 49)
Power knees- 81 (vs 77)
Power jumps- 44 (vs 39)
Globe jumps- 9 (vs 7- equals 8 more total jumps!)
Suicide jumps- 16 (vs 15- I was getting tired by now!)
Push-up jacks- 23 (vs 18)
Low plank obliques- 55 (vs 42!!)
Insanity day 16- today!! I worked out so hard, it was literally insane and hurt so bad at times but I kept pushing through. I just kept thinking in my head, results results results!! I also discovered that I was supposed to be doing an extra video for abs on day 13, sooo I did the cardio abs video as well, in addition to cardio circuit. Today was crazy.. And I was already sore from the previous days.. I also rode a bike for approx three miles today (no one was here to take me to the dentist.. And there were no extra cars :/ oh well! Good exercise!). My mom didn't sympathize with me at all for having to take my bike. Her words exactly were "you do that insanity thing, so you can ride a bike, it's good exercise!" haha..
Oh well. I have had a good time with insanity. I really like it because it reminds me a lot of high school drills and whatnot, and also I like how I don't HAVE to meet a certain amount of repetitions.. I just do as many as I can depending on what level I am at. I really like that I don't have to count down from 25 or 30 reps for each thing. Some I may only be able to do 15-20 reps where as with other exercises I can do 30+! I just like that you are able to go at your own pace. But don't get me wrong you still need to push yourself. I always make goals and push myself. And if I can't do as many reps as they are doing on the TV, then I will at least keep moving, never stoping.. Even if I am turtle slow.
Also I really like insanity because I am actually already seeing results! They are not necessarily major by any means but you can definitely see results and it's awesome. It's really awesome seeing your hard work pay off!! David even has told me he has seen results, even after just the first week! It's just cool, haha.
Ok so what else have I been up to?? Work, work and work. I have now completed six full days of work! Six twelve hours shifts. I really really enjoy it though. I love working for others and serving people, its just awesome. And I am getting along with everyone just fine and have started to really figure out everything already. It is a bonus as well that I have worked with that computer system before since I have had clinicals at this hospital during school. That has definitely helped because I didn't have to be trained how to use the program. However there was one day when the computers were down and we had to do paper charting... Man was I actually happy for once that we have to do so much paperwork during school, because this hospital paper work was a cinch after all of that! It was crazy because many other CSAs or new employees that had not been working here since the computers had been down did not know how to do the paperwork because they were never trained. Thank your nursing school for preparing me! (you probably won't be hearing much more thanks from me though.. Especially after school starts again.. Haha).
I am also excited that I will hopefully be able to be promoted to the student nurse tech position along with Kasey, and Kayla, because that means we will be able to actually do skills that we have learned! So exciting!! I will keep everyone posted :)
Besides all this nonsense one more thing that I'd love to talk about and update everyone on is that: me and David are doing great!! This summer has just been perfect so far. We don't see each other during the week because we both work, but we spend the weekends together and they are just the best! So far I have just gone to his house. But I love it though. I love spending time with his family, they really are the greatest. And David and I can just relax and have fun with everyone, wether it be out at the pool, or inside watching The Heat play basketball. I just love spending time with him no matter what we are doing :). I am so excited to see what this summer has in store for us!!
On that note, I am going to head off of my lovely new (used) iPad my grandma surprised me with today! (She got a new one so she gave me her old one). She is a great lady, not only because of this thigh, but she has always been so loving and so thoughtful. But anyways, it is time to get off here. I didn't even realize the time! This certainly is one long blog!! But I had a lot to update one, it had been awhile. Well I hope everyone had a blessed day, goodnight to all!

Cant....Move...
Insanity yesterday was INSANE! But forreal this time. I woke up at 545, got to work by 640, put in a full twelve hour shift, got home around 1915, did insanity, showered, ate, and literally passed the heck out! I was so beat! I seriously could not move.. I accidentally fell asleep before I had gotten ready for bed I was so tired. But then I woke up about thirty minutes later, got ready for bed and slept for a good ten hours.. It was nice!
I didn't feel too bad this morning, but I was still definitely sore, and hesitant to get out of bed and move around, haha. I could have slept all day i feel like but i got up around nine- which is so good for me! I had some errands to run today.
I did Insanity day number four today-- "Cardio, Power, and Resistance". I wish I would have pushed myself harder during some of the workouts but those certain muscles were just so tired from the constant pounding I've been putting them through the past week or so. I havent taken a break for a week strait, when according to insanity I would have probably had a break the sunday previous. Oh well, I'm just continuing to get stronger! I am slow during some of the workouts but I try and always keep going, never stopping; no matter if I am slow I am still moving.
After Insanity since I wasn't completely satisfied with my performance I did 30 butt/leg lifts on each side and 100 ab reps--50 crunches (legs up and down), and 50 bicycle rotations.. So I at least pushed myself a little more!
Oh, and my wt today was 104.4- only checked it once, so who knows according to that scale!
Well my laundry is done and I need to get in bed and get to sleep. I have another day of work tomorrow and I would like to be somewhat energized!! I have to be up by 545 again.. It will be here much too soon! Goodnight everyone :)

I might be Insane.
Wow! I cannot believe it is already almost seven! I have done so much today. I woke up around 645 this morning to make it to the hospital by 7:45 for Orientation. (And this is AM people!) We basically watched informational videos, our speaker went through a ton of power points, and more things. Boring things. Stuff I already knew. But hey, I got paid for nine hours, so I'm not complaining! We were supposed to be there from 8 (7:45) to 4:30 but even got out a little early :) I am excited about this new job though. However I am still not exactly sure what my pay is :/ I have heard 8.75 and then someone else today said they are only getting 8.25.. so we will see. I know we aren't exactly supposed to talk about those things, but hey, if someone wants to talk about it I am not going to stop them! Either way I am just happy I got a job. Really as long as the pay is over 8 dollars, I really could care less!
Next on the list.. after I got home it was work out time. Insanity is the name of the workout! Today was just day one, which was the "Fit Test" day.. It basically just gives you a baseline to be able to see how you improve as you move through the program. It was pretty intense and I did get tired, but I like how you go at your own pace. It's really just a challenge to see how many reps of each move you can do and then later see how many more you can do vs how many you could do to start with. I like it so far, haha. I know that tomorrow is going to royally kick my butt though. But we will see. But anyways, here are todays stats! haha.
Insanity Fit Test: (amount of reps I could do in a minute):
Switch Kicks: 59
Power Jacks: 49
Power Knees: 77
Power Jumps: 39
Globe Jumps: 7 (four jumps around equals one rep)
Suicide Jumps: 15
Push-Up Jacks: 18 (I have super weak, baby arms!)
Low Plank Obliques: 42
Todays weight- 104.2 or 106... once again. I have no clue whats up with this scale.. I need a reliable scale!
So hopefully in two weeks I will have improved! It was fun thought and it made me think of playing sports. A lot of those moves we did in Basketball practices, such as Suicide Jumps, and Power Jumps and whatnot, and in Soccer we did power knees, and even some suicide jumps maybe? I don't know.. But I have done a lot of these moves in sports practices and conditioning. I like the structure and I think this is going to be good!
Well I am going to be off to bed here soon, tomorrow is my first REAL day of work. I am a tiny bit nervous but super excited! I cannot wait to start working and learning everything. I think it is going to be a good day :) So its off to get ready for bed I think! and then talk to my boy before I sleep :) Goodnight everyone!

New Beginnings.
Well tomorrow is the start to many new things in my life!
First, I HAVE A JOB! So I am going in for orientation tomorrow. I am going to be a CSA (Clinical Support Associate- basically a glorified meaning of bed pan attendant...). I will be responsible for basic patient care (aka, stuff I learned before I even got into nursing school). I will be doing things like vital signs, and some ambulation and positioning, making sure they are hydrated, etc etc etc. I am their servant while they are there, haha. For the most part it will be basically what I am doing for my patients during clinical for Nursing school, minus the medications and IVs, andddd Foleys and more.. haha. Although half the time in clinical we don't even get to do hardly any of that, so oh well. ANYWAYS! I may not sound it but I am really excited about this opportunity! It will be great to be able to work in a hospital setting and care for patients no matter what my task is. I am excited for orientation tomorrow and getting everything settled and finalized. I wish It wasn't at 745 in the morning, but I really shouldn't complain because normally I will have to be in for work by 645. Ahh!
Secondly, other things I want to start tomorrow is INSANITY! I might just be crazy, but I need a more consistent and structured workout besides just running everyday. Which I still want to run when I can, because I like running. Its just the whole being in Arkansas thing, and it getting closer and closer to summertime and hundred degree weather everyday, I will not live trying to run 4-5 times a week in that kind of heat! I still want to run 2-3 times a week though... and yes, running on top of Insanity. Call me insane! hahaha. (Did you catch that there?) I am a bit nervous about insanity, but I think it will be good. I like structure, and people telling me what to do because i have no clue how to work out (Yes, David I have admitted it nationally now..) But on this note I am going to go ahead and list out my stats for todays workout:
Distance: 1.54 mils
total time: 14min 34sec
first mile: 9min 25sec
avg mile: 9min 24sec
Ab Ripper X- 349 reps. Did all of them! I had to make a couple of them easier, because I was dying, and I also paused 2-3 times to catch up, but I still did all of them! The video is about 15min long, it probably took me 17-18min. Either way, I feel like my abs were about to fall off!
30 push ups
50 butt/leg lifts on each leg (idk what they are called but I learned them in my aerobics class- they burn!)
todays weight: 104.8 OR 106.4 (according to Bri's janky scale.. weights taken about twenty minutes apart, both after working out.. makes no sense!)
I feel pretty good about my workout tonight! I didn't run as far or as fast as I did yesterday but I still feel good about it. The hills I run on this route here at Bri's house are much steeper and I get really tired. The hill yesterday wasn't as steep it was just so so long! Oh well. I didn't do necessarily as good, but I am still improving from my first two runs. Also I suppose I will give David credit: I ran better yesterday because he was there to push me, hahaha. He is so supportive and just wonderful though. He just puts my running to shame. He hasn't run in like a year and he still has way more endurance than I do. Although he works out a lot so he does practice muscular endurance. He is just mentally prepared for all that nonsense. lol. I love him for his dedication though, and doing it because he wants to, and because he likes to workout.
Well I think it is about time for bed. Bri has our sheets in the dryer so I need to wait for them but after those are on the bed I am passing the heck out, and getting 6 hours and 45min of sleep.. whoops. Wish David and I a good first day at work! (He is working at the bank for the third summer in a row). I am happy at how well we are doing :) ByeBye.

Hills hills hills.
This weekend we are at David's house. We finished our intercession class; three credits done in two weeks! And I am pretty certain we both made A's. And now I will get a little break from classes for a few weeks. Although I start work in the meantime! This Monday I have orientation at the hospital, I'm excited! It will be an experience for sure.. It is going to be a lot different from nursing school however, not being allowed to do any skills, but I think it will make me more appreciative for the education I am getting and it will still be a good experience just being in the hospital.
But anyhow! It has been a good weekend at David's so far. I love having somewhere that feels like home where I can just relax and be apart of a family. I am so grateful for David and his family. I love being able to visit!
Today David and I decided to run together! I was a bit nervous at first because I didn't want him to see me do badly, haha. He is just so physically fit and I am nowhere near the level he is. It's just slightly intimidating working out with him haha. He just knows more than I do. But anyways. We ran together. And it went pretty well! I had to stop and take a couple walking breaks however.. There were a lot of hills along our course today. David lives kind of up on a small mountain (haha) so there was a lot of ups and downs today. Those hills worked out my glutes, hams, and just the whole backside of my legs today. I haven't really worked that part of my body as much yet. I wish I could have made it the whole way without walking but it was a longer distance plus the incline so I am still decently proud of myself. I beat my fastest mile time! I cut off a lot of time on the mile, about a minute and a half! And average mile time I beat (although this did not add in the walking..). But my stats for today are as follows:
Distance: 1.84 miles
Total time: 17min 4sec
Avg mile: 9min 15sec
First mile: 8min 39sec
Swam a little afterwards (water felt so good!)
Did 13 pull ups on the diving board
(yes the water made it super easy, haha)
then while holding on the side of the pool, with my back against the edge I held my legs out straight and held with my abs for a minute. (yes I know.. Water makes it super easy and David kind of laughed at me haha)
My legs are definitely tired from today's run. I upped the difficulty quite a bit and the distance was longer. I also beat my fastest mile time and I feel pretty good about today's workout. Oh! And today would technically be day four. On day three I ended up taking a break. David and I were going to run but we ate at a friends house and ended up visiting longer than we thought. But you need a day off every now and then. You shouldn't be working out every single day so I don't feel too bad about a day off. But anyways, we are off to David's cousins graduation party so hope you have a good day!

Day two.
Day two of working out!!!
Total distance: 1.45 miles
Total time: 14 min 48 sec
Terrain: road and hills
First mile: 10.01minutes
Mile average: 10min 20seconds
Ab ripper X workout: approx 15min long. "349 ab reps"
Minus about 49 reps and that's what I did lol.
Plus 25 pushups
Todays wt: 103.2lbs (note: Bri's janky scale, lol).
I apparently lost weight.. not good, haha. Oh well there is probably less chyme in my body (hahaha..) and possibly just water weight, since it is so flippin hot outside. On top of that, my tiny little muscles probably haven't gotten much bigger within the last day either lol...
Anyways.. It was super hot out today, kind of like yesterday. Needless to say I had a lot a sweating... Uh, I mean glistening going on by the end of my run. I'm excited because I ran .31 miles longer than yesterday, had a faster first mile and average mile time, AND I did hills! Haha, there is one big one and it's a killer! Afterwards David told me about ab ripper x, if I wanted something more structured. So, needless to say even if I didn't complete all 349 reps I did a lot more ab work than I did yesterday!
Also! Instead of doing 25 push ups in like three separate turns I only did it in two today! Haha.. I am pathetic. Pathetic but improving! I know it's only been two days but like I said yesterday: baby steps. Taking it one more baby step at a time.
Welp, time to shower! I feel so gross!
